Wild Dachshunds of Arizona cross the river.

With really hot temperatures crossing the river provides some relief from the heat. They also know that town is close by.

This is great! Love the tails sticking up out of the water as they doggie-paddle across...

Most amusing! This is my first trip o your blog and I love it. I didn't realize that we had so many dachshunds in the wild. I am glad to be better informed and will be on the lookout for them.

You can tell by their excitement that not only is the river refreshing, but they sense that their prize may be in reach.

My dogs sure go for the water when it gets hot here even if just to put their feet in. Hot is hot!
