While I took my lunch break I did my Everyday in May challenge drawing for yesterday. Everyday in May #15. Hopefully tonight I can do todays to catch back up.
You can't see the forest for the trees is an old expression. This time however, I would hope that you can't see the trees for the forest. How do you draw thousands of trees at a distance? In this particular case lots and lots of very short strokes of green pigment layered. This was hard...not the short strokes of pigment but the actual strokes with the pencil making my wrist very sore. I almost wanted to have, what Basil Fawlty was always asking Sybil, to have a lie down. Instead, I suffered through it and went back to work. I was going to take my walk this afternoon but it is in the 90s here in Portland. Fortunately here in the Mancave that I call my office in the basement it is a pleasant 65. It pretty much stays that way all year.
Here is the EDinMay challenge number 15. Elk Lake, Oregon in Prismacolor pencils.
