EDM #1 Draw a shoe

I am a fairly new member of the Everyday Matters group and so I am way behind in my challenges. I figured I might as well do catch up along the way. This challenge was to draw a shoe and I did just that, of my left shoe. I should have left well enough alone with the pen sketch, but nooooooo I had to add watercolor. Anyway, this posting will remind me that even though there are bad drawings......there are no bad days with art. I claim do overs.

It's all about the experiment and the experience. I LOVE do overs—couldn't exist without 'em. Keep drawing and painting!

I'm guessing your brother would recognize your drawing of Juneau. If you want to play with watercolor before you commit yourself, I recommend photocopies. Of course, you could always draw a section over in your sketchbook, and play with it first—two birds, one stone, right?

Bully for you for getting your work posted. I'm still working on posting stuff I don't like much. But my perfectionist says that that is just about everything!

Posting things we don't particularly care for is great..Not only do you have that record of your progress, and it shows you want to move in your work. Great looking shoe

I like your shoe drawing! And I agree with Pamyla. Posting those works we're not completely pleased with only helps to remind us later of how far we've come. It's a brave thing to do. And do-overs are always an option!

The shoe was a difficult one for me, too. Had a lot of trouble with shoelaces, to the point I just quit on that part of the drawing. Do-overs -- absolutely! And I like the addition of color here.
